In one 60-minute treatment, physicians can now treat a problem that plagues more than 85% of women and, until now, has been considered largely untreatable.
The first and only minimally invasive anti-cellulite treatment with supporting clinical results, Cellulaze and its exclusive SideLaze technology targets cellulite precisely at the source by smoothing herniated pockets of fat, thermally subcising and releasing the fibrous septae, and tightening and thickening the dermis. In fact, ultrasound imaging measurements demonstrate an average 25% increase in skin thickness and DermaLab Probe measurements showed an average 29% increase in skin elasticity after one year.
The success behind ground breaking Cellulaze technology lies in the combination of a powerful pulsed Nd:YAG 1440 nm wavelength and the SideLaze fiber with its bidirectional laser flow delivery. After inserting the fiber optic into a small incision, the SideLaze is directed at the adipose tissue where microbubbles form at the tip of the tool to infuse the fat tissue with laser energy and disrupt dimpled pockets of herniated fat that cause cellulite.
Next, Cellulaze’s SideLaze fiber is targeted at the fibrous septae to release the brittle bands and smooth the skin’s matrix.
Finally, the SideLaze laser is turned upward to gently heat the skin and promote a thicker, stronger underlying foundation of collagen. Cynosure’s ThermaGuid(TM) system ensures safe temperature endpoints, while SmartSens(TM) motion control technology prevents hotspots and provides a more uniform treatment.
In less than one hour and in one procedure, physicians can treat even large areas of cellulite. Optimal results are seen at three months post-procedure. This time allows for generation of new collagen. Septae regrows in new locations, while new collagen leads to thicker and more elastic skin. At one year, clinical test subjects saw an improvement in skin elasticity compared to baseline and reported a 93% satisfaction rate from their cellulite treatment.1 Minimal side effects were limited to mild discomfort, bruising, swelling and numbness, with complete resolution at three months for all patients.
