Handpiece Pulses (Expiration Counter)

How many pulses is the handpiece good for? 100,000 pulses for Tixel i and Tixel C or 125,000 for Tixel 2.

It must be replaced per FDA and regional regulations. The handpiece pulse counter cannot be reset or extended. A replacement handpieces costs $8,000 and includes a one-year warranty.

The handpiece is hand operated. When activated by trigger,the handpiece performs a pulse, forwarding the tip to the skin and then retracting it back to its home position.

System Pulses (Device Pulse Credits)

Start high and count down to zero.

If the system pulse count reaches zero, the device will not operate until you enter a new pulse credit code.

You can add pulses by purchasing a pulse code from Novoxel and entering it into the system.

USER-FRIENDLY INTERFACE

Tixel® has a graphic user interface with just two treatment parameters. It is simple to use, with a quick learning curve so that treatment can be easily and safely delegated.

MEDICAL-GRADE TITANIUM TIP MEDICAL-GRADE TITANIUM TIP

A medical-grade titanium tip is located in the handpiece and is reusable and easy to clean. This in situ pre-heated tip is also sterile upon operation. As the tip moves forward and makes very brief contact with the skin, thermal energy is transferred.

There is no emitted radiation, smoke, fumes or bleeding. Furthermore, goggles are not required as the system is eye safe.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The tip consists of 81 tiny pyramids (9 x 9) which are heated to a temperature of 400°C . As the tip moves, it makes brief contact with the skin at the apex of the pyramids without protruding the skin.

This creates a matrix of discrete ablative (superficial ablation) hemispherical coagulation zones (depth of up to 250μ, width of up to 500μ).

WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE TREATMENT

Assessment is firstly undertaken by the treatment provider to check suitability and match expectations. Treating tanned skin is not recommended.

WHAT TO DURING TREATMENT

Tixel® applies natural heat directly to the skin, with facial treatment typically lasting around 20 minutes. Treatment is radiation-free, and there is no smoke, bleeding or skin charring. Analgesic cream may not be required at lowmedium settings as treatment is comfortable with minimal pain sensation.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT

After treatment, skin is slightly swollen and red for 3 to 4 hours. Patients experience mild erythema and heat sensation for 2 to 3 hours. There is minimal downtime from 0 to 2 days, depending on treatment intensity.

Micro-crusting will appear the following day but this can be covered up with make-up until it disappears after a few days. For optimized results, the treatment provider may wish to recommend a home care routine.
