Shortest Pulse Duration

Alma’s PICO CLEAR offers top-of-the-line technology featuring the shortest pulse duration in the market of 300-350 picoseconds. This state-of-the-art flexible platform allows the practitioner to control multiple function parameters to create tailored treatments: wavelength, energy level, spot size, energy delivery mode and repetition rate.

Double Pulse

PICO CLEAR features a novel technology which modifies the pulse profile – delivering two sequential pulses within a single lasing cycle, instead of one. This new energy delivery mode extends common Picosecond laser technology benefits by enhancing the photoacoustic impact as well as adding a thermal effect.

Offers 9 spot sizes options, ranging between 2 and 10mm, addressing various types, severities and depths of pigmented lesions and tattoos. The Picolor applicator can be used both in Nd:YAG (1064nm) mode and Double Nd:YAG (532nm) mode, using simple on-screen setup

PicoLift Handpiece

Employs a fractional delivery method which creates pixel-sized perforations in a 7×7 non-ablative pattern, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. These microinjury sites trigger a wound healing process that strengthens collagen and stimulates neo collagenesis, completely rejuvenating the target tissue. Five distinct treatment depths are available for maximum flexibility and precision.

Homogenizer 1064 & Homogenizer 532 Handpieces

Square homogenized laser beam profile featuring flat-top energy signature for uniform and consistent surface coverage, preventing hot spots. This applicator offers two footprint options – a 3 X 3 mm square and a 5 X 5 mm square.

CLEAR-Y & CLEAR-R Handpieces

These applicators extend the Picolor applicator’s capabilities, offering two additional wavelengths, targeting challenging tattoo colors. The CLEAR-Y applicator is emitting 585nm wavelength specifically targeting sky blue color. The CLEAR-R applicator is emitting 650nm wavelength specifically targeting green and teal colors.

Skin Rejuvenation 

Skin rejuvenation treatment protocols are based on fractional energy delivery at various skin tissue depths. PICO CLEAR excels the standard treatment protocol using the following unique features: 7X7 pixel array fractional applicator offering an optimal energy spread and coverage 5 treatment depths options Double pulse mode, effectively combining photoacoustic and thermal tissue interactions, resulting in improved ECM (Extra Cellular Matrix) regeneration.

Tattoo Removal

PICO CLEAR’s mode of operation is based on delivering ultra-short picosecond pulses of energy into the skin tissue. A shorter pulse duration means a higher convergence rate of laser energy into the mechanical force needed in order to shatter the colored pigments into small fractions. The shorter the pulse duration is, the smaller the shattered particles are, from pebbles, to granule and up to thin dust. 

In colored tattoos, the double pulse sequence can shatter colored tattoo ink more effectively, due to higher peak power and a more substantial photoacoustic effect than a single mode. The double pulse mode in Clear-Y (585nm) & Clear-R (650nm) applicators will yield more effective treatment and less treatment sessions.

Pigmented Lesion

PICO CLEAR is able to treat both superficial & deep pigmented lesions. The dual wavelength option allows to treat epidermal-dermal lesions with its 532nm wavelength and deep pigmented lesions with the 1064nm to target melanin.

PICO CLEAR has one of the shortest pulse duration in the market, making it ideal to treat pigmented lesions using a very high peak energy that instantly increases the temperature of the chromophore, leading to a photoacoustic effect which effectively destroys the chromophore. The high energy pulses shatter the pigment into tiny fragments which may need fewer sessions to treat as compared to other pico lasers or nanosecond lasers.
