truSculpt iD RECERTIFICATION & CONSUMABLES
Consumable Needed: Adhesive Coupling Pads (single-use) & Pulse Credits
Does Cutera Charge a One Time Recertification Fee for the Purchase of Adhesive Coupling Pad Consumable & Pulse Credits? Yes, however, we do not recommend that you pay for recertification if the current owner is willing to represent it for the purchase of consumables.
The system operates on a pay-per-use “pulse” or token model.
Cutera structures the truSculpt iD pricing model around pre-purchased treatment credits, which the software tracks as “pulses” or treatment cycles. Each individual handpiece or cycle used during a fat-reduction session consumes these internal credits.
How the Consumable Model Works
Pre-Purchased Credits: Practices must buy software packages or cycle licenses directly from the manufacturer or verified distributors.
Handpiece Activation: When you apply the radiofrequency handpieces to a patient, the software subtracts the corresponding number of active pulses from your system bank.
Lockout: Once the active balance hits zero, the software temporarily locks out further treatment sessions and displays the No pulses available error until new credits are loaded into the console.
Recertification Fee: $35,000; If the current is owner is representing the system for the purchase of consumables and pulse credits, no recertification fee will be required.
