Rohrer Phoenix CO2 MANUFACTURER NOTES
Incisional Handpieces – 50 mm & 100 mm
The Rohrer Phoenix CO2 Laser System utilizes two distinct incisional handpieces with 50 mm and 100 mm lenses for precise surgical applications. These handpieces act as a “laser scalpel,” allowing technicians to vaporize soft tissue with less bleeding, bruising, and swelling compared to traditional methods.
f:50 mm Handpiece: Typically used for precision surgical procedures such as laser blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
f:100 mm Handpiece: Also utilized for surgical cutting and ablation, offering a different focal distance for specific tissue depths or procedural requirements.
Functionality: These handpieces vaporize and coagulate tissue simultaneously, which minimizes patient discomfort and speeds up recovery.
Common Applications: Removal of skin tags, warts, and benign lesions, as well as precise soft tissue cutting in gynecological or plastic surgery procedures.
Micro-Thermal Zone Scanner
The fractional scanner handpiece for the Rohrer Phoenix CO2 Laser (often referred to as the Micro-Thermal Zone Scanner) is designed for skin resurfacing, wrinkle reduction, and scar revision. It works by dividing the laser beam into tiny shafts of light to stimulate collagen production while leaving surrounding tissue intact for faster healing.
The Phoenix CO2 micro-thermal zone scanner divides the CO2 laser beam into small shafts of light. The light shafts penetrate through the epidermis layer into the sub-dermal layer of the skin and introduce heat. The heat stimulates collagen production by causing the skin cells to reproduce more rapidly. Technicians can adjust the micro-thermal zone scanner from 5mm to 30mm to target the optimal treatment area.
Swift Scan Enclosure
Technicians can place the scanner into a plastic enclosure to hold while treating large areas such as the hands or arms. The target treatment area can be easily visualized by looking through the plastic window located on each side of the enclosure. Technicians can adjust the treatment area size accordingly to better and more quickly treat large areas.
rejuVAnate Hand Piece
Millions of women suffer the frustrating yet common conditions of vaginal dryness, itching, and burning. As a result, women may experience painful intercourse, issues of vaginal lubrication, vaginal atrophy, and urinary incontinence. Technicians can utilize the Phoenix to improve these vaginal conditions by providing a series of three rejuVAnate laser treatments, each lasting no more than five minutes.
Rohrer Phoenix INDICATED USES
The Rohrer Phoenix CO2 Laser is a versatile platform with three primary categories of use, determined by the handpiece attached to the system:
1. Skin Resurfacing & Rejuvenation
Using the Micro-Thermal Zone (MTZ) Scanner, the system performs fractional ablation to stimulate collagen and replace damaged skin.
Anti-Aging: Reduces fine lines, deep wrinkles (rhytids), and crow’s feet.
Pigmentation: Removes sun spots, age spots (liver spots), and uneven skin tone/dyschromia.
Texture & Scars: Improves the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks (striations), and enlarged pores.
Hand Rejuvenation: Specifically utilizes SwiftScan Technology to treat thinning, crepey skin and brown spots on the hands and arms.
2. Surgical Cutting & Ablation
Using the Incisional Handpieces (50 mm & 100 mm), the laser acts as a “laser scalpel” for precise tissue removal with minimal bleeding.
Laser Blepharoplasty: Precision cutting for eyelid surgery (excising excess skin).
Lesion Removal: Vaporization of warts, skin tags, and benign pigmented lesions (such as Seborrheic Keratoses).
Soft Tissue Surgery: General coagulation and vaporization of soft tissue in dermatological and plastic surgery procedures.
3. Women’s Health (rejuVAnate)
Using the specialized rejuVAnate Handpiece, the system provides non-surgical treatments to improve internal and external vaginal health.
Vaginal Atrophy: Addresses dryness, itching, and burning by stimulating new cell growth and lubrication.
Urinary Incontinence: May improve symptoms of urinary stress incontinence.
Tightening: Improves vaginal laxity and tightens external genitalia
